Our marine-themed pop-up shop for charity at #ICESASC25 was a huge success. All items changed owner and we raised over 415 euro! Today I handed the gift to KNRM, the Dutch voluntary rescue at sea service who save lives on a daily basis.

Excellent day cycling and walking on the beautiful Curonian Spit. Good closure of another inspiring #ICESASC25 conference and a short holiday in #Lithuania.
While I wish ASCs were 100% social science 😜, one of my favourite things about them is stepping out of my comfort zone.
I was truly fascinated to learn more about marine sand and its extraction.
Annelies de Backer brilliantly told us how sand extraction disturbs food web dynamics.
