Methods of enteral nutrition delivery in the ICU There is currently no conclusive evidence indicating which feeding method is superior for the delivery of enteral nutrition (EN) in the ICU. This survey aims to document and quantify the feeding methods currently used in adult ICUs worldwide, with a particular focus on the prevalence of continuous versus non-continuous feeding methods, and the reasons behind their use or non-use. This survey is intended for dietitians responsible for making nutrition therapy decisions in the ICU who have at least 12 months of clinical experience in this setting. In ICUs where dietitians are not involved in these decisions, we invite the physician most involved in nutrition care to respond. Estimated time to complete the survey: 5–10 minutes.
