IDEXX Seeks Senior DevOps Engineer – Up to $120,000/Year

**The Role**
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be crucial in enhancing deployment processes, improving the CI/CD pipeline, and ensuring the smooth operation of production environments. Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating and maintaining system documentation.
* Participating in an on-call rotation to resolve system issues.
* Supporting multiple IDEXX development teams.
* Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure using cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Developing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
* Monitoring and optimizing system performance and security.
* Implementing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC).
* Mentoring junior team members.
**Location and Work Environment**
This position offers flexibility: it can be based at the Westbrook, Maine HQ on a hybrid basis, or 100% virtual/remote for candidates outside of Maine. Note that the role requires availability during East Coast US workday hours (8-5 Mon-Fri).
**What You Need to Succeed**
* 5+ years of DevOps experience.
* In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles and systems administration.
* Knowledge of Linux platforms and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Proficiency with application servers (WebLogic Server experience required).
* Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
* Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
* Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
* Familiarity with software development processes in a hybrid-cloud environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
* A keen eye for system hardening and configuration management.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Compensation and Benefits**
* Base annual salary target: $100,000 – $120,000 (with flexibility).
