We conclude the #IDEoPOP doctoral training with a lecture by @profannikawerner.bsky.social on radical right populist parties in the EU. The seminar provided interesting insights into the main drivers for populists alliance building in the European Parliament. Thank you for the lecture!

Today we attended a lecture by #IDEoPOP PI Christian Lequesne on the political capture of foreign policy bureaucracies by populists. The lecture offered a very interesting empirical approach discussing different cases such as Poland or Brazil.

One of the challenges that #IDEoPOP researchers face is the classification of populism. This newly published project offers a very relevant categorisation of populist political parties in Europe. It will surely inspire our PIs and PhD candidates!

We are excited to share that @sdestradi.bsky.social, PI at #IDEoPOP, published an e-book on Populism and Foreign Policy together with Dr. Johannes Plagemann. The book provides a cross-regional analysis of countries such as India and Bolivia.
