Help patching Datatracker during the code sprint was a huge joy!

Watching the recent #IETF meetings on YouTube reminds me just how "deep in the weeds" some folks get. It might be a good thing that I haven't had to implement a network protocol from scratch in a very long time. Of course, 1980s me is blown away by the idea of official IETF meetings in Shenzhen!

#ietf #openstandards 4/

The key questions for the CATALIST BoF at #IETF125 about #AI activities at #IETF include:

—-
• What broad topics belong in the IETF scope?
• Which working groups are already active?
• Enough expertise/people in the IETF for new work?
• What coordination […]

- IRTFOPEN - internetworking challenges for #AI

- TIPTOP - extending #Internet to the Moon / deep space

- GAIA - expanding #InternetAccess on Earth

All will be recorded, but the interaction is key!

Happy 40th to the #IETF!

I enjoyed 15 years of my career with the IETF, traveling the world, making friends, publishing Internet-Drafts and RFCs. 😁

Today, for over 6 billion people the #Internet is woven into the fabric of our daily lives - and that is enabled by the open standards created by the #IETF ! From IP and TCP to DNS to HTTP to TLS and more... those interoperable standards are what make the Internet possible! Congrats on 40 years! 🎉
