Don’t be passive be bold. The first thing is our own people. #IILF Other people will benefit but us first. We sometimes try too hard to make non-indigenous folx feel comfortable by creating programs that make us feel uncomfortable- I tautoko this!

Rain in Hawai’i today. Spent time with amazing people. Lessons started early, when I was given the gift of a connection (rather than a correction) by an elder. Learnt something really valuable. Listened rather than spoke. Asked questions and listened some more ♥️ #IILF
