“The answers are in this room; they’re not in the hallway. There’s a reason Anandi keeps getting stopped for conversations!” Dr. G tells #INterim25.
“There’s a knowledge share that happens at AACP; you have shared history and shared problems.”
Using EHRs as an example, she says, “We solved 3 problems, but created 5 new ones…What patients want is the eyeballs of their [practitioner]. We innovated out the patient relationship.” #INterim25
Additionally, economic conditions are leading practitioners to feel they’re “being asked to do $100 worth of work for $10,” says Dr. G. #INterim25
What are the key challenges for healthcare right now?
“Care team burnout is very real [post-pandemic],” says Dr.G at #INterim25.
“There are very little plans with how to replace that workforce…[and a fraction are] actively trying to figure out how to leave.”

Sitting down with AACP President Anandi Law, "Dr. G" will survey the evolving digital health landscape and explore how providers can leverage emerging tech. for improved patient care and outcomes.

“When learners are stressed out, they’re not going to show up at their natural best,” says Dr. Sairany, of trauma.
“When faculty are stressed out they’re not going to be their most innovative.” #INterim25
Dr. Sairany kicks off #INterim25 by detailing her own story: While treating others for #PTSD, she had been struggling with her own.
“It carried a lot of shame, there was a lot of stigma associated with that label,” she says.
“It wasn’t until Covid that I went public with my diagnosis.”
