Great conversations at the ISA Forum in Rabat! Impressed by research on climate/household labour & intergenerational support. Presented on older Australians’ wellbeing. RC06 meeting was rewarding as Secretary/Treasurer. Rabat’s intriguing! Special thanks to volunteers. @isa-sociology.org #ISAforum25

Going back home after a very inspiring conference in Rabat, where I made a presentation about music and transnational activism.
Brilliant panels, stimulating conversations, meeting with colleagues and great moments spent with old friends.

After a great #ISAforum25 by @isa-sociology.org, I'm thrilled to have been elected as a new member of the Board of Directors for the #WG10 Working Group on Digital Sociology. Thank you everyone! I look forward to working hard to continue to elevate WG10 and the field of #digitalsociology.
While I am now already back home, I would be absolutely remised not to thank the @isa-sociology.org team for organising such a wonderful conference in #Rabat last week! I was fortunate to receive great feedback on my research, made new friends & had an amazing time in beautiful 🇲🇦.

The @isa-sociology.org 5th Forum of Sociology #ISAforum25 in Rabat was a great experience. But the US-centric cherry-picking was not. My thoughts on the conference:

Here is Ruha Benjamin’s powerful keynote at the closing ceremony of the @isa-sociology.org 5th Forum of Sociology #ISAForum25 in Rabat, Morocco on July 11, 2025. The beginning is cut off, but it’s worth listening to all of the rest:

While I wasn’t able to include any side trips during my visit to Rabat for the @isa-sociology.org Forum on Sociology, I did take some time between panels to explore this beautiful city. Definitely looking forward to a return visit! #ISAForum25
Academic Conference Fashion Report, #ISAForum25 Edition, Day 5: Today was the final day of the ISA Forum in Rabat. I attended panels, stole away to the Medina in the afternoon, then made it back for the closing ceremony, featuring a keynote from Ruha Benjamin. 1/
I am on my way back from #ISAForum25. Over 4000 sociologists! I am very impressed by the many in-depth discussions during the sessions. There was methods and theory talk on a very high level. I certainly miss that in #STS. I hope I can join ISA again next time.
We end the conference with a bang 👌🏽😁. Thank you Rabat #ISAforum25 #rc30

Academic Conference Fashion Report, #ISAForum25 Edition, Day 4: Yesterday started with me serving as discussant on a 9:00 am panel where I had to wing it because nobody sent their papers beforehand 1/
I didn't get my badge in time to hear this in person at #ISAforum25 but this was a great call to arms for critical social science and academic freedom #ATimeforSociology m.youtube.com/watch?v=g5D7...
