When I want to annunciate, I have an odd habit of making my vowels slightly closer to RP (Old BBC Standard). I have no social reason to Anglicise my accent, since I was neither brought up nor trained to speak like that, so I'm left wondering why and whence this affectation.

So most show consistent selection of forms across a lifetime; no particular parts of speech are more stable than others. Number of stable forms increase from middle to old age.

We don't process language using single words but in chunks. This long n-gram analysis captures construction chunks which may be a linguistic habit.
