Snowed in the very early morning hours, with rain before. Everything is coated with ice, including the carport, so I’m staying inside for safety. Sharky put out extra birdseed so the peepers are all over our back porch.

After lunch, we ran next door to Bossy Beulah’s to grab two “Hot Thigh” chicken sandwiches to go. My goodness, the best hot chicken I’ve had in a while. The meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. So good!

Running errands today, we “accidentally” ran across Oxford Dam in Taylorsville, Alexander Co., NC. It’s a hydroelectric gravity concrete earth dam commissioned in 1928 over the Catawba River.
