To end this thread on our hike into the #IllinoisCanyon at #StarvedRock State Park, here are the Turkey Tails (Trametes versicolor). There were lots and lots of Turkey Tails.

A yellow blob on a log. There is a turkey tail on the left.
A white blobby, cauliflower-ish mushroom on a log.
Here are a couple of fungi we found that I have no idea what they are. The yellow one might be Dog Vomit slime. Any help would be appreciated.

In one patch of rotting logs and soil, there was the same type of mushrooms in various states of development.
I think they might be Scaly Inky Caps (Coprinopsis variegata).

On a log is a large pale cup mushroom in the center of the photo. Below it are several much smaller red, flat, and round mushrooms with 'eyelashes' around their periphery
More #fungi from our hike in #IllinoisCanyon earlier this week with two cups on the same log:
- Hairy Fairy Cup (Humaria hemisphaerica) the larger pale white cup
- Eyelash Cups (Scutellinia scutellata) multiple red cups below it

White textured slime mold on a log.
The other fungi on the log is probably a slime mold--possibly the tapioca slime mold (Brefeldia maxima).

The yellow mushrooms on the tree seem to be Golden Oysters (Pleurotus citrinopileatus) in various stages of development. #StarvedRock #IllinoisCanyon #Fungi #MushroomTwitter @fungiwithbengi.bsky.social
