A dense, layered abstract collage dominated by dark navy, deep red, teal, and occasional gold highlights. At first glance the composition reads as a vertically symmetrical tapestry, with a faint central axis running top-to-bottom: around that axis are repeating concentric rings, mandala-like rosettes, and overlapping semicircles that create a sense of many nested “eyes.” These circular motifs — some with starburst centers, some ringed like washers — form multiple planes, as if dozens of translucent stencils or sheets of colored glass were stacked with slight offsets. Top third: darker, cooler tones (blues and purples) with a few pale, chalky white scratches and angular glyph-like marks that slice across the surface. Left and right near the top show stylized vertical column shapes made of banded stripes and stacked semi-ovals, suggesting pillars or totemic forms. Center: the visual heart — layered circular “eyes” and flower-shaped medallions align on either side of the midline; between them a suggestion of a masked or skull-like face emerges from shadow (two rounded eye-areas above a darker, mask-shaped void). Around this, thin, sinuous lines — like glowing filaments or coiling ribbons — weave through the circles, sometimes bright cyan or fiery red, giving a sense of motion. Bottom third: richer reds, greens, and golds with more compact, textured marks (speckling, chalky rubs, and stippled dots) that read like embroidered detail. Repeated small motifs — arrowheads, crescents, and tiny spirals — populate the margins and create a busy, ornamental border. Texture and depth: many layers are semi-transparent; motifs repeat at different scales so small patterns sit on top of larger medallions. Overall impression is ritual, complexity, and controlled chaos — a night-time reliquary of symbols where faces, eyes, coils, and floral medallions keep reappearing as you move from one area to another.
