When children learn together, they grow up understanding and respecting one another. This creates neighbourhoods, workplaces, and communities where everyone feels welcome and valued.

".. it is essential to clarify that EAs themselves are not the support; rather, they can be supportive agents within the educational framework (Bennett et al., 2021; Gibson et al., 2015)"

Every February, people across Canada recognize #InclusiveEducationMonth. It's a time to reflect on the many ways we can do more to support every child’s learning in our schools. Learn more about inclusive education in the province: www.gov.nl.ca/education/k1...
Image is a screen capture of a post on Ontario Parents for Education Support's Facebook page Text reads "Inclusion without adequate support is not inclusion - it’s neglect! Our co-founder spoke at the Finance Committee’s pre-budget consultation on behalf of disability families across Ontario. Right now, too many students are being denied the staffing, mental health supports, and resources they need to access their education in a meaningful and dignified way. This is not a failure of the educators. It is not a failure of school boards. It is the result of systemic, chronic underfunding by the Ontario provincial government. Families are not asking for unreasonable accommodations. We are asking for the supports required so our kids are provided their basic human right of education. Our asks are clear: 1. Increased investment in special education supports - including Educational Assistants and specialized classes 2. Funding that allows for smaller class sizes and safe, sustainable staff-to-student ratios 3. Dedicated, stable funding for mental heath supports for all students The question is not whether we can afford to act. It’s whether we can afford not to. Because inclusion without the conditions that make it work is not inclusion at all - it’s neglect."
It's #InclusiveEducationMonth
Yet I'm seeing posts about how there needs to be more specialized classrooms🤔
Yes we need more funding
Yes we need smaller class sizes
Yes we need more staff
Segregation? No
