At present, IMHO it is not possible to make reliable statements regarding the effectiveness of immunoadsorption (IA) versus apheresis procedures, simply because we lack the necessary data as a basis for evaluation.

Two important takeaways on the topic of immune absorption or apheresis is, that it most likely only works in conjunction with B-cell depletion and that severely and very severely affected patients are at high risk of deterioration.
