Art and facts about red pandas! Did you Know? Red Pandas were given the name "panda" about 50 years before giant pandas! The sound that red pandas make is called "twittering". The rusty tear tracks on a red panda's face help keep sun out of their eyes. Red pandas are primarily native to the forest of the Eastern Himalayas such as China and Nepal Red pandas are mostly solitary animals, only coming together about once a year to breed. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... Red pandas are considered an endangered species, with estimates of only about 10000 left in the wild. THEY NEED OUR HELP!
