We could sit in a daze
Repeating tv phrases
Memorizing each others faces
Making love in different places
Those days are replaced with
Responsibilities and no bandwidth
Still the only one I want to stand with
Look forward to future plans with
And always dance with

filial piety
dictated what you thought
how you acted
who you loved
and in some ways
that mindset
never really left.
