The latest forecast graphic from Australia's Bureau of Meteorology for Tropical Low 29U. The graphic shows the disturbance's current location to the south of Indonesia's Sermata Islands and shows the disturbance moving southwestward over the next few days. The forecast projects that Tropical Low 29U will develop into a tropical cyclone by Saturday afternoon and will continue to strengthen over the weekend. The graphic also shows that a Gale Watch has been issued for portions of Australia's Kimberley coast. This watch area includes Kalumburu, the mouth of the Berkeley River, Mitchel Plateau, and Kuri Bay.

Australia's Bureau of Meteorology is projecting that #Invest96P (or as it calls it, Tropical Low #29U) will develop into a tropical cyclone by Saturday afternoon. As the cyclone strengthens, it could bring gale-force winds to the Kimberley coast over the weekend and early next week.

#Invest96P currently sits at 8.9°S.

If it develops into a cyclone while still north of 10°S, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (#BMKG) will assign it a name: #Bakung.

If it develops south of 10°S, Australia's Bureau of Meteorology (#BOM) will assign it a name: #Errol.

JTWC has issued a TCFA for #Invest96P to the east of Vanuatu. The disturbance has a high chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours.

The Fiji Meteorological Service refers to this system as Tropical Disturbance 10F.
