Today for #IrelandReads, I started "The Third Policeman" by Flann O'Brien. At lunch, M admitted he wasn't sure what to think of it: the narrator's tone is ambiguous and he isn't sure if he's joking or being serious. Doubly so due the odd circumstances he's in. This will require multiple reads.
How did I forget about #IrelandReads today!
It’s Prophet Song by Paul Lynch for me this weekend #irelandreads #weekendreads
Anyone reading any good books this weekend? #irelandreads #weekendreads
Bonus points if they are by Irish writers.
A dry, bright Saturday brought the week to a perfect close with the shop buzzing! It's appropriate that on #IrelandReads Day, 6 of our #TopTenBestsellingTitles were by Irish authors!
Thanks to those of you who trusted my recommendation of The Names and, as always, for supporting me!
Currently reading 'Stag Dance' by Torey Peters during the day, 'Operation Bounce House' by Matt Dinniman during the night feeds and listening to 'the eye of the bedlam bride' also by Dinniman while doing chores or out walking
Happy #IrelandReads day
Happy Ireland Reads Day! I'm currently reading "The Time of the Child" by Niall Williams - a wonderful followup to his "This is Happiness". It's a book to savour by one of my favourite Irish writers. What are you reading today?

Q: When you move from home to live alone in a tiny, watchful town, what or who comes to save your 20-year-old self?
A: The local library and librarian.

David Stevensons 1914-1918 covering the political social and economic environment of WW1. You know, the light, easy to read, relaxing stuff 🤪. Note: it is very good! But very big.
Trying to find some fiction for my hols, just to give myself a break 😊😀 #IrelandReads #booksky

The picture us of two books sitting side by side, face out, on red checked tablecloth. The first is Home Economics by Caitriona Lally, the second is Night Watch by Terry Pratchett.
It's #IrelandReads day - what are you reading today?
For me it's Home Economics by Caitriona Lally, a memoir due out this April, and Night Watch by Terry Pratchett, an old favourite.

The Vanished Birds by Simon Jimenez. NOT what I expected, misleadingly recommended as similar to Becky Chambers, but has absolutely grabbed me. #IrelandReads
