Panel 1: A concerned ghostly white woman places her hand on a man's shoulder as he's applying white face paint. They both stand in a dreary blue void.

Man: No really, I'm fine!

Panel 2: The man has some clown makeup on and points to his face as he grins. The background is a festive multi coloured backdrop with swirly patterns.

Man: As long as I smile

Panel 3: The man enters a bright purplish room, wearing his full clown costume. Two ghostly white figures stand with party drinks and throw welcoming smiles at him. The man returns the smile and waves.

Man: ...and I show up...

Panel 1: The clown man is juggling balls in the same purplish room with a crowd of ghostly white party goers all enjoying the show. The clown man is smiling as he performs for the crowd.

Man: ...an I put on a show...

Panel 2: Close up of the clown man from below the eyes down to his shoulders. He is grinning and stands against a bright pink background. A single tear rolls down his cheek.

Man: ...then maybe...

Panel 3: Same composition as Panel 3, but the background is now blue and the man's grin has morphed into a sad face. All of the colour from his body is dripping like melted ice cream as his happy facade fades.

Man: ...just maybe...

Panel 4: We return to the dreary blue void from the first page of the comic. The clown manscolour has completely dripped off of him into a puddle on the floor. The man is crouched down and sobbing with his hands in his face as the woman he was with hugs him from behind.

Man: ...it will all get better...won't it?
