Had to happen ! It's amazing how the spirit has changed in 18 years , The 1998 Renaissance spirit seems more relaxed and sophisticated , The 2016 CS seems more harsh , what has changed in that time ?

It's Christmas Eve and time to hit the Sherried #Whisky , Beginning at #Bruichladdich this was a Christmas Edition released by Whiskybroker in 2012, unfortunately it only seen a sherry butt for 6 months of it's 22 years .

Started the Evening with a 29yo #Bunnahabhain and now on to a 53.72 , a 10yo SMWS #Caolila from 1993 at 61% , an old school Islay a fitting tribute to Robin .

#Caolila number 3 , another 12yo by whiskybroker this time finished in an Oloroso Hoggie , a lot more pleasing to my palate , the oloroso is very dry but it compliments the Spirit (better than the previous Wine one...)

After last nights Longmorn 12yo H-t-H's tonight its the turn of Bunnahabhain 12yo . The Standard 12yo , The Cask Strength 12 2021 , 2023 and 2025 . The 2021 is a bottle Kill hence the larger pour.... My excuse anyway !
