Pruning and Removal of Select Anapamu Street Italian Stone Pines to Begin Next Month The City of Santa Barbara’s Urban Forestry staff will remove five Italian stone pines on East Anapamu Street after a comprehensive assessment identified the

5 historic Italian stone pines on E. Anapamu will be removed for public safety. These trees, ranging from 96-115 years, have been weakened by age, drought, disease, and development, and compromised root systems.
