Far-red (FR) substitution for red (R) can significantly increase early-stage lettuce biomass accumulation under a moderate total photon flux density (TPFD), with some outcomes influenced by the CO2 concentration. #JASHS https://doi.org/10.21273/JASHS05550-25

Endogenous contents of proline (A) and glycine betaine (B) in citrus leaves sprayed with proline solutions at 0, 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128 mM, under two temperature conditions: 25 °C and freezing stress (FZS) (−6 °C). Mean values for temperature treatments followed by an inverted triangle (▼) and for proline concentrations followed by different lowercase letters indicate significant differences according to the F test (P ≤ 0.05) and Tukey’s test, respectively.

Research shows that foliar-applied proline boosts freezing tolerance in citrus by enhancing osmoprotection, antioxidant defense & metabolic resilience. High doses (64-128 mM) preserved photosynthesis & reduced stress damage.
