yesterday i wanted to experiment and learn to work with shadows a bit more. today, i wanted to work with light, so of course a lighthouse was a natural thing to draw. i ruined a black pen making this, but it was worth it.

my journal drawing for the day. i didn’t think i could draw the tower, so i spent the majority of the time drawing the various trees and shrubs, experimenting with textures. i got so carried away, i almost ran out of room for the tower.
