With #JacksLaw now a "permanent fixture" in the criminal code right across all police jurisdictions in Australia there is not a lot more police anywhere, including NSW, and governments can do to thwart knife related crime.

No law, including Jack's Law, will stop psychopaths from being themselves.

Queensland makes police powers to search people for knives permanent Police powers to randomly search people for a weapon without a warrant in a public place have been made permanent in Queensland, despite concerns it will not reduce knife-related crime.

Within reason and with "reasonable grounds of suspicion" it was only right that the #Crisafulli government made #JacksLaw a permanent fixture of #Queensland police powers.

Let's face it - no one carries knives on them for "legit reasons".

Don't carry them on you and you got nothing to worry about.

#JacksLaw is one of the best pieces of anti violent crime legislation to have ever been introduced in #Queensland.

Police in all jurisdictions need the powers to be able to frisk people who are out in public carrying knives.

Because they are not doing so to be "friendly".
