A taxing read. Premise was promising: Jade gives certain people special abilities. Unfortunately, most of this book focused on a gang war with violent bickering back and forth. The personality of the book was also one note: simply dour. A truly flat experience. 3.5/5⭐️ #booksky #books #JadeCity

For me, The #GreenBoneSaga is undoubtedly one of the best #fantasy / #urbanfantasy (?) book series of recent years. I'm also really into #martialarts (e.g. #KungFuHustle) and #wuxia films.
A well-made #JadeCity role-playing game could be something for me.
