The painting shows several jack-o-lantern pumpkins stuffed into an old rusting cauldron. The cauldron sits atop a large flat stone and in the background is a late-autumn field and a single bare tree. Similar to Andrew Wyeth's "Bonfire" painting, this one has a calm, eerie late-fall feeling that I absolutely love.
