Jan Vishwas Bill’s provisions promise big boost to health sector: Ministry
New Delhi, April 3 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday hailed the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2026, recently passed by both Houses of Parliament, as a significant step to safeguard public health. As per the provisions of the Bill, 784 provisions across 79 Central Acts administered by 23 Ministries have been amended. Within the health sector, the amendments span key legislations including the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940; the Pharmacy Act, 1948; the Food Safety and Standards Act; the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010; and the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021, said a statement.
