π Blue-and-white flycatcher (Cyanoptila cyanomelana) The blue-and-white flycatcher, also known as the Japanese flycatcher, is a striking migratory songbird in the Old World flycatcher family. Males boast glossy ultramarine blue upperparts and white underparts, often with black lores and throat. Females are duller, typically brownish-grey with a rufous tinge. They are widely distributed across East Asia, breeding in temperate forests and wintering in Southeast Asia.
