At the lower starting point of Ninenzaka in Kyoto, across the street, there are some steps up wich gives a nice overview.(sorry had to take picture of the internet).
On clear days at sunset you have a nice view of mt. Fuji on the beach of Kamakura or Endoshima Island.

Going to Kurobe Gorge is one of the few times I audibly gasped when I came upon the view of a sight in Japan. Seeing the Fall colors made it extra gorgeous.
Wow, this was one of the most amazing views of our trip. Even after spending nearly a month there, I did not get enough. This is def one of the pictures I want to paint from our trip. Can't wait to go back. #Japanuary25D3 #cakeswithfaces #japanuary

This is what an Olympic-level ski jump looks like from the top and from the bottom. I can't imagine hurling down this steep hill. 😱 If you are ever in northern Japan, go check out the Sapporo Olympic Museum in Hokkaido. So interesting!

Day 3: What a view
I didn't have the guts to do an observation deck (due to a fear of heights) but we hiked to the top of Jojakko-ji in Arashiyama and were greeted with my favorite view of the trip!

What a view
Nunobiki Herb Gardens in Kobe. Amazing view from the cable car. The garden itself was gorgeous as well, one of my favourite places in Japan.

I loved the Unzen Hells in Kyushu, which are on an active volcano. It's all completely natural - they're like hot springs for onsen, but hotter. ♨

What a View - Yokohama is a beautiful city to visit. I think their Chinatown is bigger than the one in SF. Agree?? Do visit the Yokohama International Terminal which is where shot was taken. Fair amount of walk from station, but views breathtaking.
