A follow-up on the discussion started at the panel below with Rosanna Picascia on #doubt in #Jayanta. To me, the context of Nyāyamañjarī 3 seems perhaps too clear, because an api 'even if' is connected with doubt if it is "ekapakṣagrāhin" 'grasping one side only'. 1/

#Jayanta on nāda vs dhvani: nāda is used for musical instruments etc., dhvani in relation to linguistic sounds. So, nāda is just sound, dhvani is for phones/articulated sounds. Interesting, bc usually it's the opposite!
