Jesus Green, E2, bequeathed in 1679 to fund almshouses in Barnet, 15 miles away. Victorian terraces built as social housing in the 1860s. In 1979 residents blocked a motorway scheme through the estate. Now a Conservation Area.

This view across the River Cam by the lock gates hasn't changed much since I painted this watercolour on the spot 30 years ago. I later produced a small oil using this as a sketch and I posted that on here recently.
