Just me, a jetlagged journalist wandering King’s Cross in winter, dodging knife-wielding pimps, petting wombat butts, and making kangaroo enemies I plan to eat later. open.substack.com/pub/davidpbl...

Oh and new random aches and pains for #jetlagdiaries day3: woke up with an odd pain in my right thigh? That’s since worked itself out but my neck is weirdly sore. Ugh
As for #JetLagDiaries day 3? No problem going to sleep last night but we both woke up numerous times through the night. I managed to get back to sleep quickly but she woke around 5:30am and didn’t get back to sleep for hours. We probably have another 3 or 4 days of this to go.
Forgot to record #JetLagDiaries day 2 but thankfully we are on holiday as it took “us” (her) about two hours to actually get up after our alarm yesterday. We needed to get shopping done for the next 2 weeks so the day was spent shopping and eating. That was all!
Ok the real test started early. My head feels like it’s full of cotton wool, and I’m just over the cold I picked up on my flights TO Ireland, meanwhile Devina is down with a bad cold. Going out for nutrition then retreating to the couch for the day. #JetLagDiaries
#JetLagDiaries day 1: we never really got over the jet lag in ireland but that’s ok as we mostly just woke up early and felt sleepy around 9pm. Arrived back in KL at 10pm last night. In bed by 1:30am and now awake at 10:30 today. Tomorrow is the real test whether the hotel layover helps with the lag
Me: Wow, the upstairs neighbors are really loud.
M: We're...we're on the top floor. Those are the seagulls and pigeons on the roof.
Me: ... oh. Well, those birds upstairs are really loud.
