Retired Philly news anchor shows off his favourite wacky socks after collecting record Beloved CBS Philadelphia news anchor Jim Donovan retired last month with a reputation for his Emmy-award winning broadcasting and a new world record for his sock collection.

In part due to the generous gifts from his viewers over the years, #JimDonovan had acquired 1,531 unique pairs, taking over the title from Rex J. Pumphrey II (USA) and becoming the new title holder for the #largest #collection of #socks in the world.

As most of you know, I'm originally from Cleveland. There are 2 iconic names in broadcasting I'll never forget one is weatherman Dick Goddered. The other is Jim Donovan with sports. Most specifically the voice of The Cleveland Browns for 25 years. #jimdonovan
