I hear ya, can't go wrong with any of Faulkner's big 3! For me, Light features the memorable #JoeChristmas as he's etched in my brain as one of the most compelling literary characters. Also, as an aside, The Bottoms by @joerlansdale.bsky.social has a similar feel at times & is also great in its way!
