Our Redbone Coonhound, Ellie-May walking along a fallen tree. There are evergreen trees surrounding a turquoise, glacier-fed lake. One of our favorite hikes anywhere is the Joffre Lakes Trail. The three, glacier fed, sub-alpine lakes possess some magical scenery. I'm certain that Ellie-May is trying to figure out how to get this stick home. She's gone now, but her spirit is present everywhere we hike. This hiking buddy is embedded in our hearts, forever.
