Happy #NationalPublicLandsDay from the Gallatin, where we volunteered to join a crew to brush and swamp the local Nordic ski trails.
Apparently, the #jrranger is big enough to handle the pole saw! Now all we need is snow! Season starts November 10.

A black wolf with a white muzzle walks toward the right side of the frame. The ground is covered with a dusting of snow, and there are dry plants in the foreground. At least 30 bison, crowded up against one another can be seen about 20 yards in the diatance.
Went for a backcountry ski today and also got to see a wolf pack chase a herd of bison around a meadow.
What an incredible privilege to bear witness to this sacred winter ritual.
