British born Julia Marlowe became famous as a theatre actress and director on the American stage. Photographed here in her beaded finery as The Countess Valeska at the Lafayette Square Opera House in Washington DC, USA ~ the costumes were furnished by Schonitz & Co, they presumably also created the beadwork and bead jewellery too!
