Vice versa, some spaces that used to be part of the 3rd world now inhabit an ambiguous political and economic space because of rapid processes of modernization and integration into the global economy. #KAPTalks

Whereas some scholars see an almost seamless continuum between the Third World & to the Global South, others see continuities, but also fundamental ruptures & shifts between the two not just conceptual, but historical realities. #KAPTalks

At the core of the right to self-govern & to self-determination lies the idea of economic sovereignty. Especially that absolute sovereignty over natural resources belongs to the state.
