TAS / CAS Media Release Boxing Image Khelif appeals against World Boxing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Lausanne, 1 September 2025 – Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has filed an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against World Boxing concerning a decision that disallows the athlete’s participation in upcoming World Boxing events without a preliminary genetic test. The appeal, filed on 5 August 2025, seeks to overturn a decision by World Boxing that Imane Khelif “was not allowed to participate in the Box Cup in Eindhoven, nor in any World Boxing event until she had undergone genetic sex testing”. The appeal also requested that CAS declare Imane Khelif eligible to participate in the 2025 World Boxing Championships from 4 to 14 September without a test. On 1 September 2025, CAS dismissed a request to suspend the execution of the decision by World Boxing until the case is heard. The Parties are currently exchanging written submissions and with their agreement, a hearing will be scheduled. CAS procedures whilst ongoing, are confidential. Da eben schon wieder mehrfach gelesen 🙄 nein, es gibt absolut keine Anzeichen dafür, dass Imane #Khelif trans ist, hört doch auf mit dem Blödsinn - das Meiste deutet darauf hin, dass sie intersexuell ist, das würde auch am meisten Sinn machen.

Wenn sich jetzt rausstellt, dass Imane #Khelif einen männlichen Karyotyp hat, dann war die ganze Nummer mit der Erlaubnis bei Olympia anzutreten eine absolute DUMMHEIT, eine UNGERECHTIGKEIT ggü den anderen Boxerinnen und ein absoluter BÄRENDIENST für Progression und Vielfalt.
