Kaiten is sensitive when it comes to names. Seeing as how his own name and everything depended on his sheer strength and will. He only just had earned the name Kaiten on his tenth summer when he completed his Tumet rite; nameless until that point.
He doesn't mind nicknames mostly,
A lil tidbit: Kai's tail actually does originally look like this at first when he's younger, but that's when some various parts of him change thanks to his elemental when he ages.
Particularly his tail, overall size, eyes and teeth all 'mutate' to what he has now as he grows older.

A thing I get asked often is why Kaiten, despite being a hardened Steppe Warrior, has no scars whatsoever. It's funny to think about it, because it's just me originally not wanting to put up with Au Ra skin modding as a whole, it's pain dealing with scars/tats along with scales.

Kai has to constantly regulate his own body temperature, otherwise he'd be cold to the touch all the time. It's mostly second nature to him when he's in warm climate so it's no issue. However, when he's in colder climate, it's a bit different...
They're hypothetical children that me and Seiker have yapped about, though they could potentially exist in the future.
The miqo'te, whom is named Khair, is the first born between Kai and Seiker, and the au ra, second born is named Aren!

I don't depict it enough (I really should change that) but Kai is a big smoker, his husband often getting after him for smoking a lot.
What's great though is that because of his constant self-healing from his elemental, Kai will never deal with the negative drawbacks of having cigs a lot.

Reason for the name thing: He usually introduces himself to people as just Kai, with it typically being only people that are closer to him that he's entirely fine with calling him Kaiten. It's a whole personal thing to him given how very important names are to him.

in regards to fire, kai like, for the most part doesn't care if it's like, bonfires and campfires, that's normal to him
but the moment something comes at him magically, he gets a little antsy. since he's ice aspected, he's VERY sensitive to fire, and it can easily cause more damage to him

On the topic of love, I feel like Kai may've had relationships previously, but they'd not really last long enough, due to his shithead antics, he not really being mature enough for them initially. With things ending prematurely, he didn't really ever get to learn how to 'love' properly.
Kairi has a daily physical training into martial arts practice routine. She makes sure she changes a few workouts and forms every week to keep herself in peak condition.
It comes with being a monk in an Adventurer's world, but she was planning on doing all of this regardless XD
