Picture this: A lone adventurer is standing tall on a paddleboard in the middle of a glass-calm lake, surrounded by mist so thick it looks like the mountains are shy and hiding under a blanket. The water is so still it’s practically a mirror, but instead of checking their hair, this person is calmly paddling along, like they’re late for a very important meeting with a moose. On the left, an army of pine trees stretches endlessly, all whispering, “Who’s this brave human paddling into our foggy fortress?” Meanwhile, the mountains on the right are trying their best to photobomb but can’t quite peek through the clouds, giving the whole scene the vibe of a nature-themed magic trick: “Now you see me, now you don’t.” Altogether, it’s serene, majestic, and just a little bit funny—like nature put on its most dramatic costume, and this paddleboarder wandered into the middle of the stage without realizing they’re starring in the show.

Saturday morning I was waiting for the morning’s mists to burn off the lake enjoying the quiet when a 5 year old girl made wakes in the water… perfectly!
