Kayden fidgets with his hair and if he can’t, he closes himself off entirely by crossing arms and looking down. He also tends to hide behind other PCs.

She‘d been my comfort character for years. She also happened to be a duelist so Kayden becoming a Red Mage & Starting in Limsa is a nod to her.

Kayden‘s biggest regret is Haurchefant.
He held Kayden in such high regard and was genuinely a kind person. But thanks to Ilberd’s betrayal (as well as various uncomfortable interactions with the elezen), Kayden didn’t fully believe in him until it was too late.

Kayden is part fae (Fae-touched) but can‘t manifest his wings without the help of Morpho.
It’s not a big inconvenience, but something he is self conscious and envious about when meeting fairies and encountering winged bosses such as Titania and Athena.

Kayden appeared in Idyllshire, outside of the Cenotaph. He was unable to speak at the time and was given to the care of Zhloe Aliapoh.
8 years later, he ran away and boarded a boat to Limsa to become an arcanist.

Although he’s often seen wearing them, Kayden doesn’t *need* glasses.
They were a gift from Urianger during his stay in Il Mheg to help dull his visual senses (The markings on his eyes which give him the ability to perceive the aetherial sea).
