The graphic has a blue background with a photo of a TCS London Marathon runner next to a quote saying "When my dad was diagnosed with kidney failure he was told he wouldn’t be able to have more children, but a kidney transplant gave him a new lease of life, which led to me being born – at the time the Weston Mercury deemed me to be a ‘miracle baby’! Although his kidneys failed during my childhood he was lucky enough to have another transplant in 2011. Sadly there were complications and he passed away. It’s been 14 years since my dad died and I feel ready to take on a huge challenge. I know Dad would want me to raise as much as possible, and I’d love to be able to do something this significant in his memory."
Months of early mornings, long runs, and serious dedication, all leading up to race day. We couldn’t be prouder of everyone taking on the TCS London Marathon for Kidney Care UK, including Charlie.
We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way, good luck our #Kidneywarriors!
