Traveling to a glow forest on Ulfrum on Venus. Three kirins born with genes of Omenreader the dragon and Emperor Bigpip, set up a settlement. Wanting to get wealth like other settlers before them. With local sulfur vents preventing sunlight from reaching the surface. Growing food and getting electricity proved to be a challenge; Eventualy they managed to put togather a system of tidal generators and wind turbines with suitable power hungry lamps to0 remedy this. With basic needs taken care of, they conducted research and set up wine and drug production in order to facilitate trade with the locals. Their locals however weren’t just the ordinary beastmen that populated most of terraformed Venus. There is a religious faction of not quite humans, most without wings but some with wings, all having a white wreath on their hair. Then there were blue skinned humanoids with a horn on their head, seemingly immortal but clinicaly deppresed. When one of the angelic beings decided to join the settlement, Moon Impact, one of the kirins. Became officialy a moral guide of the settlement, with the task to convert the angel. And this is when Moon impact started getting some power hungry ideas. Converting her, he found out that all of them, regardless of having wings or not, are depending on alchohol to survive, without which they suffer withdrawal after 5 days, 30 days without alcohol they enter a coma and eventualy die. So if he could control their alcohol supply, he could control them all! However the kirin’s wineyard wasn’t big enough to rival that of the angelic beings due to the environmental conditions. So instead he decided to try to get help from the state. Moon Impact was given the task of performing tests on an experimental flying craft in the sulfur rich conditions. Then he was instructed to weaponize the flying craft destroy the surrounding settlements that were deemed too hostile to colonization. This was tough, since it would attract a lot of rettaliatory raids against the glow forest wineyard. However among those raiders were those horned blue humanoids, who’s unnatural blood turned out to be useful for creating a special alloy, made to assemble an automatic armor piercing rifle, reverse engineered from blue humanoid’s armor piercing blue rifles. With Moon Impact leading them to decimate about half of the settlements in the region with their experimental weaponry and flying craft. They polarized those living in the region into being either their allies or enemies. Around this time they put togather improvized body modification equipment. Because they wanted to make their bodies better but weren’t trained in the field whatsoever so the best they were able to do was safely give themselves feathered wings at the cost of being more musky. The next state assignment involved flying into low orbit to shoot up a space station which was seemingly abandoned. Their apparel wasn’t really intended to be used in space but they hed to improvise and that they did. Nervously flying to their destination. Things were quiet at first until beastmen astronauts ran out of the station doors towards the automated weapons. Fighting followed with Moon Impact’s team heavily injured. They quickly flew back on the ground before the low orbit environment would kill them instead. Fixing the damage, refueling and tending their wound, they towards home. It turns out that the low orbit station was the Crimson station. One of the first few structures structures owned by Anocratic empire on Venus. Which was since then evacuated and abandoned. Arriving home, they hed visitors from Lustopia, pony breakaways from Anocratic empire. The pony caravan came to trade and during trade negotiation, they were given information about a thrumbo herd in a desert, with a mythical alpha thrumbo. This was the opportunity Moon Impact was waiting for. The alpha thrumbo was considered a malevolent entity by the religious angelic beings. Moon Impact was excited, refining fuel with his fellow settlers to have enough for flying to the alpha thrumbo’s herd and back. The flying craft’s weapons with combined arms of the settlers made quick work of the thrumbo herd. Bringing over the thrumbo corpses onto the craft to butcher them and remove their horns as trophies. With the meat, fur and horns onboard, they made their way home. Moon Impact and others knew the leader of the angelic beings. She and her subborbinates visited their settlement before, allowing them to get friendly. Now Moon Impact decided to invite her to come over. In a day she did and Moon Impact told her s more exadurated version of how he defeated the alpha thrumbo’s herd. The angelic leader was sceptical at first but that scepticism fell away when she inspected for herself the black horn standing out among the rest. She asked what the kirin wanted for all this. Moon Impact responded that he wanted leadership of the angelic beings. She was surprised by that but accepted due to her age, wanting to retire. Moon Impact went to a church with her. Where they rushed to prepare a ceremonial ritual of transfering leader role, where Impact Moon hed to swear an oath of righteousness. When all was said and done. The butchered thrumbos were delivered to said church. Moon Impact started scheming and lead his new underlings to war on penunsila south of their settlement. By declaring war on a common enemy in the region, he was able to form close bonds with two of his former enemies. He left the responsibility of maintaining the glow forest settlement to his now former team. Much to their dismay and betrayed feelings. Being a warlord was so much better Moon Impact thought. Being on the sunlight in a jungle felt better for his scales and coat then being a glow forest farmer with only artificial lighting. Moon Impact managed to recruit one of Emperor Bigpip’s dragons. However while useful, the dragon was a willing informant for the state. Once Moon Impact was done with the military and diplomatic conquest of his new realm. He ordered a construction of a lavish palace for himself. Then the consequences of his actions cought up with him. An ultimatum arrived from Emperor Bigpip, demanding annexation with a concentrated army who’s size wasn’t seen in a long time due to the imperial army’s previous poor state. Moon Impact found himself outnumbered and outgunned, his own army didn’t have any remaining angels, only two he knew personaly before. The rest were just were pretty much just alcoholic humans with white feathers on their head. All things considered, the surrender terms weren’t harsh for Moon Impact. While all his warlord territory would be nationalized, he could still keep the palace that was being constructed for him. The feathered humans would be transformed into gootraxians. Moon Impact’s allies would similary be annexed but with more generous terms. The main reason Emperor Bigpip ordered full mobilization of Anocratic empire’s army, was to intimidate the breakaway ponies of Lustopia, lead by Emperor Bigpip’s daughter Nightshade, into joining back into Anocratic empire. While all this happened. A meteorite carrying alien violatile crystals landed near the glow forest settlement. The orange crystals grew rather quickly and an automatic drill was set up to mine the crystals for study. Proper authorities were contacted to find where the meteor came from. The crystals were judged to be dangerous to let grow unchecked. So few days later, an excavator vehicle dug up a trench around the growing crystals, concrete was poured into the dug up torus shaped trench. With fence then being build on top of the concrete.
