Despite experiencing a massive radiation in the Early Triassic, temnospondyls declined sharply in the Middle Triassic. Though much diminished in diversity, they hung on to the Early Cretaceous in the Southern Hemisphere. The last known temnospondyl was #Koolasuchus cleelandi from Australia.
