Testing out some Kriegsspiel blocks with my Pub Battles maps/scenarios. The smaller blocks work a lot better.
🎲 Did another #Kriegsspiel exercise with the Women's Wargaming Network tonight.
🗺️ Rather than a realtime tactical sim, I split them into three teams and had them run through the operational planning procedure and center of gravity analysis for an operational level scenario.
Nothing beats good old #Kriegsspiel.

Just ran another double-blind #Kriegsspiel for the Women's #Wargaming Network. All new players to the game they had issues identifying a clear objective and commiting to it, which caused half of their forces to be overrun by the Prussians governed by the umpires. A tense learning experience again!

Always great to see players struggle with incomplete information, contingency and friction, trying to coordinate, making plans and overcoming the challenge.
Glad the participants found the experience insightful and took away valuable lessons.
