Today's featured artwork is: "Sending You Love: A Hug In A Mug" an 11x14" Acrylic on Canvas from January 2023. [Available at https://www.craigscanvases.com/shop/p/sending-you-love-a-hug-in-a-mug] It's been much cooler and wetter in Central PA this month than other May's have been with more rainy weather today! One way to try to keep the dampness at bay is with a cup of hot tea or coffee; so, we're sending one your way! [This artwork may look familiar as it's been around for a while, is on a card, and has been used as an example for Paint Events; but, has never been featured on its own!]
Artist's Statement / Backstory: This artwork was created specifically for a Valentine's Date Night Paint Party that I did over two years ago. As always, the challenge for me, in creating an example, is that it needs to be its own unique work of art to be replicated. I didn't want it to be too Valentine's heart and lovey; but, still pay homage to the holiday and all that it stands for. I was happy with the result and the longer it has traveled with me the more I genuinely enjoy and am brought joy by the artwork. As I wrap this post up around the theme of love, I encourage you to send someone some love today!
