I'm not too much further into 10. I have reached Kilika Island, fought Sin for the first time, and saved before the next summoner trial.
While I can believe there are multiple books to learn the Al bhed language the fact that Tidus only learns a single letter each time

I went into the opening of 10 with zero expectations because I wanted to experience it fresh but god what an opening. I was just blown away! The highlight for me has got to be when the metal score starts playing at the start of the blitz ball match.
I plan on chronicling/posting my thoughts here as I play under the #Kynplays, so if you only wish to see my gposes, you can mute that tag.
