I have been very vocal about this: I am angry that my #HealthInsurance #LACARE has denied me access to coverage b/c I am not morbidly obese. GLP-1’s do much more than cause weight loss! Here is proof that #cardiometabolic markers deteriorate when medication is stopped. #theydonotcareforyou

Millions of people with #MetabolicDisease #InsulinResistance are being helped by GLP-1’s where changes in diet/exercise/lifestyle (for years) have done nothing! Why are #insurance companies like #LACARE gatekeeping this treatment plan?

And I was just denied my GLP-1 because reducing my Cardiovascular/Diabetes/CKD risk was not a “viable medical reason.” #LACARE thinks it’s just for weight loss. LACARE does not care for you.
