A6 Journal to note things down and ideally that structured 'template' of Bortons questions. The So What? and Now What? Are key.
You can become practiced in reflecting and they diminish in necessity this gets you started but are also useful.
Help to stop reflecting and get on though???

A5 Great question. I think it's important for me to not just "feel" students were learning or to think an approach was effective but to have that validated with another source. Strengthens the impact.

A4 Students learning, but as @hintondm.bsky.social great blog post suggests it's using the lenses as a prism. If we can use all in combination? What an illuminating experience.

A3 Using a "template" of Terry Bortons's "What, So What, Now What?" reflective model.
Pebblepad provided great reflective prompt templates which even with experience are helpful to remind us to reign in that description!

A2 I tend to use feedback from students on the usefulness of the approach...when I can also consider the nuances of how did that appear to impact the content and/or quality of their assessment...which I'll be doing this year through a minor change in practice...a little action research.

A1 the challenges of
1. Describing actions and not the resulting student learning
2. The complexity of educational research and isolating variables and results...which many in the "hard sciences" find difficult
3. Remembering to write notes and/or capture immediate feedback from learners

Other media/methods (audio/video/drawing)
Other frameworks (read a bit)

A3 #LTHEChat as others have said this is primarily the meaning making, 'so what?' point in most models.
Of help:
* expanding on that question with a range of other potentially useful reflective questions, in particular 'why?' (I usually modify Rolfe/Borton with why)
* speaking about it with a peer
A1 #LTHEChat broadly speaking the further along the impact and evaluation line you go into the longer term impacts, the harder it gets.
Response/satisfaction is easily than behavioural changes or longer term results. Both in methods, ability to conduct them/access, time etc.

See you all next week - same time, same place! #LTHEchat Next week we will be joined by Heather Pennington and Rachel Johns, exploring the topic: "Moving beyond intention; What does an antiβracist curriculum really require?"
This is so important and time well spent #LTHEchat
Thanks, wonderful #LTHEchat community. You bring sparkle to the middle of the week and so so much joy.

I find I get very stuck when I stop reading or talking to colleagues reflectively - I see these things (including tonight) as fuel for the process... A6 #LTHechat
A6 #LTHEChat sticking to the now what question is always useful. Things change rapidly in HE so we need to give ourselves space to experiment and reflect
Thank you @hintondm.bsky.social and all you #LTHEchat people for a thoughtful, reflective hour. Another happy place!

A6 When writing for a fellowship application I was learning and followed some formulaic steps - what I did, link to theory, evaluate comment to link to criteria. Now I feel the urge to write up things I noticed and observed in my classes, which I might later develop and research about

A6 #LTHEchat chatting through with someone, coming away from the writing and remembering the doing. Loving some of these other suggestions - AI is not something I'd considered
I don't have time to get stuck. I just keep on bashing out words without worrying, leave it a day or two and go back to it. It always looks a lot better on reflection (pun intended) #lthechat

#LTHEchat A6 Working & writing collaboratively. Writing in the same document - not preceded by a formal plan - but creating a space for ideas to emerge. Finding the literature. Collecting more evidence. Back to that all important, SO WHAT question. KEY: Making that writing a happy place.
